Well, the short answer is, there are ways around everything, it’s all a matter of how you code it. No reason you shouldn’t be able to put any content you want, anywhere you want.

Michael,

I’d like to have a “topics at a glance” header in the sidebar for my newsletter, but dotCMS won’t let me put the same structure into a template more than once. How have you gotten around this, or is there a way to get around it without duplicating the information?

I have following error in Tomcat Console when running latest dotcms_1.6.0.6 & Oracle8i
Can any one figure out what does this error means?

AbandonedObjectPool is used (org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.AbandonedObjectPool@187

Hello, i am just trying to get started with dotcms, and am confused with creating my first page in dot cms!

I have worked with web applications as a developer, but not too much with the display part involving html/css etc …

Although the demo site of the dotcms attracted me, i am unable to find any proper documentation or help to get me through the basics of creating pages in dot cms…I have the dotcms up and running, but not sure how to build my first page in it!!

If you can help me out, atleast with the code… It will be of much help!!
