Projects

As a web professional, I occasionally find it necessary to work on things that allow me to better improve my skills and knowledge. Unfortunately, I do a lot of this in my spare time, because…well…I’m a nerd. Some of this is mostly for personal gain, such as things that I do for this blog. Other times, I work on things that might well benefit others. This page is devoted to the latter, providing a source for those projects and programs that I am doing things with that I want to share. See that menu to the right? That’d be the stuff.

By and large, I am a PHP/MySQL guy. I spend my days, however, immersed in the Java environment that is dotCMS, the software we are using for the college’s content management system. Here, on the other hand, I’m tweaking with WordPress. I also have become fond of the media streaming software that I use called kPlaylist. Much of what I share here will relate to those systems. Occasionally though, there might be something else. I make no promises. That way you are never disappointed. Everybody wins!

I’m even a little artistically inclined once in a while.  If you look into my portfolio at the right, you can see some of my past graphic design work and such, as well as some photography and other design work that I’ve done. I’ll use the portfolio for more of that kind of stuff, rather than development related projects.  It’s my catch all, quasi-art related dumping grounds.
