So I’m trying to figure this out.  This requires an analogy of sorts.  Don’t worry, I’m good at these.  In fact, I’m like a shark.

Okay, so imagine a bathtub that won’t drain.  Or at least, it drains very very slowly.  It’s full of soap and hair and scum and you know, showery stuff.  That’s how my brain feels at the moment, like a bathtub full of water that won’t drain fast enough.  It impairs my judgement.  At least I really feel that way, like my decision making process is being muddled.  I need an information dump of some kind.  So here goes said dump.  Don’t worry, I flush.

So I started looking into PA equipment.  I also used it as a chance to play with the new Google Notebook.  Definately going to end up sinking some money into this I have a feeling.  But that’s alright.  Oh, and the Notebook works okay.  Could be better though.  I was hoping to catch Steve tonight to discuss some of it with him, but alas, he was not around.

Keeping on the trend of trying new Google things, I tried out Google Pages.  I built a page to sell my old car.  I need to toss some pictures on still, but I can see it’s handiness, even if it is a pretty basic page hosting solution.  Odds are I won’t worry about it once my server is back up.  Which will be soon (this week).

I just can’t shake this weird feeling I have though.  I don’t get it.  Like I’m forgetting something, but expectant and confused.  And I want a pickle.  Could I be pregnant?  I think it is a definate possibility.

Isis has allergies and in just the past couple days has managed to scratch some serious bald spots.  I’m gonna get her to the vet tomorrow, but I don’t know what they’ll be able to do.  One is under her chin, the other is right on her cheek.    It makes me very sad to see her that way.  I have to keep a close eye on her to keep her from scratching, otherwise it’ll never heal.

Okay, I’m gonna try to find something productive to occupy myself with.  Leave me some witty remarks, comments, or messages, because I know if you’ve read this far, you likely need something to do as bad as I do.

On Mobility

Well poo. I am making use of the free wifi at the laundromat tonight. Very nice of them to offer if you ask me. I have been using my new phone for a while now. I like it. I’ve even grown fond of my Bluetooth headset. But where is it now…I have a bad feeling it fell into the washing machine when I loaded it. It was in my front pocket. Then I went to grab it and it wasn’t there. Nor around the table, or between here or the car. Figures.

The tablet PC I use at work is swank. It has a great journal program that displays what looks like notebook paper on the screen, and you can write right on it then. Damn neat for taking notes and such. You can even change pen size and color, or highlight.

I think I decided on a new vehicle. I found a 2001 Lincoln LS. It has a few more miles than I like, but it’s so damn nice. Just waiting on the word on the front ball joints. I knew from the minute I test drove it they were bad, but there is a recall on them too, so the lady is gonna have it looked at and maybe fixed if it is indeed covered. So we’ll see.

Man, I coulda sworn I had more to talk about when I started this thing…

I should be in bed.

Yeah, it’s very true, I should be. Instead I added a song to my profile. I already want to change it though. Which by the time you read this, I probably will have.

I have decided to change plans a little. I was gonna get a membership at the Y and start lifting a few times a week there. I decided it’d be better to buy my own weights and do that, and instead get a membership at the dojo uptown and take Genbu-kai classes. I like this idea better, as that would be a better overall workout for me, plus I could work on some of my flexibility issues in my hamstrings. Stupid muscles, who needs ‘em anyway?

So I ate for free today, it was great. I got to have lunch with the OIS department on campus today since I’ll be starting there soon, so I got a big buffet lunch, and me and Travis stayed late at work to help pull crap down for the trade show, and we got pizza. Also free T-shirts. And some bag thing that’ll work well as a camera bag. We found boxes of old promo stuff.

I need to pick up a new TV show on DVD that I can pop in the computer while I eat and get ready in the morning. Any ideas? I was thinking Dead Like Me, or Quantum Leap maybe. Firefly‘d be good, but there’s only 13 eps. I’d like something with a little more longevity to it. There’s so much out there, and so many series that were alright, but not really worth owning. Ya dig? Man…I really suck at life.

I added a song to my profile.

I’m sorry.

Ain’t it the truth though? Yeah, the writing has gotten fewer and farther between lately, I know. It’s been…busy…yeah wow. So The Crucible is coming along. It opens next week, so once that’s over, I’ll have some time back to myself once again. I’ve already been asked to tryout for The Music Man. I declined, for my obvious no-more-acting reason, so I got asked to be stage manager instead. I’ll probably do that. I’m also gonna have one of the cast parties here next week. Finally get to break my place in a little. Plus it gives me a reason to really clean it up spotless finally. And be sociable. I just hope the weather is nice so I can open up the house to the yard and patio.

I have decided that once this play is over, I’m gonna start going to the Y a few times a week. Start lifting and weight training. With it getting nicer, I need to consider getting back into top shape. Lift weights and ride my bike. That’ll be my new routine. Apparently a month membership at the Y isn’t too expensive, so I figure that’ll be the best bet till I can pick up a bench and some weights at an auction or something. Define self-improvement. I just figure it will help me out and make me feel better all over. Pick me up a little.

I’m finally getting a couch! I have to rearrange my living room though, not sure just what to do about that yet. Also, what are used couches going for these days? I need to make an offer on it, but I don’t know what would be fair? I will finally have more than 3 places to sit in my house. People can come over and be comfortable.

So I finally came in to some fairly awesome, fairly major job news. A couple days ago, out of no where I got a call about the radio job I applied for clear back in September. I now have an interview Thursday for it. It’s a 4 hour interview and lunch apparently. I can only guess that it’s because they are pretty well interested in me. Why else spend the time and money on the interview after so much time? But wait, there’s more. Today I get a call from another job I applied for and I’ll be interviewing for it on Tuesday. Looks like my hand is gonna get forced a little. Obviously I want to figure which is the better deal (assuming both make offers). But also timing could be an issue, if one wants me on the spot, and the other wants time to think and such. Should prove interesting to see how it all pans out. One thing I am pretty certain of: change is in the air. I knew 2006 was gonna be a good year. Here’s the start.

Sure, I’m tired, but I feel pretty awesome. The energy quality is picking up, some good strong positive flows I think.

So it’s been a while again. Sorry, I’ve been tired. Typical.

I have started in with The Crucible finally. I was just about to start wondering when I got an email with the schedule. The show is the 16th-19th. 2:00, 8:00, 8:00, and noon respectively. I hate Arthur Miller, but this is at least his best play. I’m interested to see it come together with this cast, I know several of the people should fill the roles very well. I’m keeping a photo gallery of the show up at this link. Anyway, if anyone tries to track me down between about 6:30-9:00 in the evening for the next 3 weeks, you probably won’t find me.

I went pretty nuts this past weekend at my Deviant Art gallery. I really like how some of the stuff came out. It’s getting my brain to work in new ways, and I like it. So spare a few mintues and go look, I’d really appreciate it. Read more below.

4. That’s my current magic number. Four applications currently out. I emailed PSU about the writing position again, and also submitted an app for a webmaster job last night. And there’s still the Coffeyville and Iola prospects. I am definately feeling like I’d take anything, even Iola despite there being nothing there.

Okay, so my main thought for this evening is an ad. Given my current state of mind and newfound love of photography, I am looking for people willing to do some modeling for me. Here’s the skinny. Male or female. 18 or older please. In the SEK area. Willing to sign a release on imagery. Willing to endure some (or a lot of) makeup. All sessions would be G-PG in nature, no nudity. Expect it to take 2-3 hours depending on the nature of the shoot. You may feel free to contact me with any questions, or to request a copy of the release to review by e-mailing me at fienen (at) gmail.com or just send me a message on here. I would be happy to sit down and discuss any particulars. I’d also be interested in talking to a makeup artist(s), or aspiring one(s). I’m sure a mutally beneficial arrangement could be made if someone is interested in helping with makeup stuff. Especially any of you college kiddos looking to pad your portfolio. Anyway, please email if interested, or pass the word along if you know people who might be.

Thanks!
